Some time ago I got my lesson on nighttime photography. I gotta say the steps are nothing like regular photos. But that's what makes them so cool. It really puts into perspective what the cosmos looks like over our heads that we can't see through our eyes.
Simples Steps First:
Go somewhere that has no ambient lights anywhere. Make sure it is completely pitch black around you.
Set the camera to manual.
Set the shutter speed for around 20 to 30 seconds if not more.
Set the aperture to the lowest number to let in maximum light coming in.
Oh and make sure the sky is clear. Obviously.
There are other settings you can set to your camera to add more help, but I'll need more practice so I'll know what I'm talking about.
Once I got my raw pictures I went to Photoshop and through the guidance of my former roommate, who's a full-on professional photographer, we made one of the most beautiful pictures I've taken yet.
